06-30-1940 Mary Ann Anderson, beloved wife of Willis M. Roberts of Ormstown Québec, died at the Barrie Memorial Hospital in Ormstown Québec. She was born at Anderson's Corners, Hinchinbrooke Québec, eldest daughter of the late William Anderson and Mrs. Margaret Anderson, she was a member of St. Pauls United Church. Surviving besides her husband are two sons, W. Wendell of Bury Québec, Lyman A, of Ormstown, her two daughters, Mrs. R. M. Drummond, of Glenn Falls New York, Mary Ola, of Aylmer Québec, her mother, three brothers, Capt. W. J. Anderson, of the Black Watch, Elmer Anderson, of Dunster, BC, and Gunner Austin Anderson, R.C.H.A., two sisters, Miss Nettie Anderson, of Montreal and Mrs. Harry Reeves of Worthing, Sussex, England. Funeral was held Tuesday from St. Paul's United Church in Ormstown Québec. Interred in Russeltown United Cemetery.

Her daughter (Margaret)'s death annoucement reads: "Mrs Anderson (Her daughter - Margaret's), like her husband William Anderson, who died 31 year's ago, was the descendant of a Jacobite Family that fled from Scotland. First going to Ireland, the family later came to Canada. Born near Ormstown, she was the second daughter of the late George Armstrong and of Margaret Stuart [note the spelling variation] of Iverness, Scotland."
